The Badgers rode a tram from their hotel to downtown Milan. Nicole Shanahan even had time to ger her hair braided by Izzy Ashburn.
The Badgers hopped off the tram and had a short walk to Sforzesco Castle, which was built in the 15th century and later renovated and enlarged, in the 16th and 17th centuries. The castle is at the center of Milan and has a park behind it like New York's Central Park.
The team strolled down Via Dante and Via di Mercanti to the Duomo di Milano, one of the largest cathedrals in the world. After seeing the Duomo, the Badgers split up and explored more of Milan, including the Galleria and La Scala Opera House. The team had time for lunch and shopping during their free time.
The Badgers wrapped up the competitive part of their European Tour with a 3-2 loss to the Italian team. Wisconsin finished its tour 2-2-1.
