Mark Johnson's #10 jersey took its rightful place in the rafters on Feb. 9 as the first-ever number retired by Wisconsin. It now hangs next to the banner with the famous phrase said by his legendary father, Bob Johnson, "It's a great day for hockey."
Fans had a special treat and were able to see a ton of memorabilia from Johnson's playing days, including his jerseys and the 1980 U.S. Olympic Gold Medal.
Ty Emberson gave up his No. 10 jersey for Mark Johnson and presented it to him in an emotional moment.
It was a special moment when four out of five of Marks' kids skated his banner out to be hung up.
Doug, Chris, Patrick and Mikayla each took a corner of history for their Dad and skated it out. His daughter Megan was unable to be there because she had a game of her own but was able to give her Dad a special message on the videoboard.
